Middle School Student Council

The Middle School Student Council has been busy this year with many projects that support our local community.

  • Dances - Halloween, Valentines, Winter, Spring: money raised from the dances went to playgroup improvements, packages for troops deployed, giving tree, and local families in need.
  • Yearbook: Student Council students helped with the Yearbook committee
  • Turkey Drop: This years Turkey Drop was a success
  • Spirit Club: The Spirit Club organized dances and dress-up days this year to promote school pride and unity.
  • Pop Tabs: Each year students collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Students personally deliver the pop tabs and tour the house. Students had a penny drive to collect additional money to take on the day of the visit.
  • Items and money for the Troops: This year the Middle School assissted the Dairyland 4-H group in collecting items and money in order to send packages to deployed troops.
  • Food Pantry: Throughout the year, students have food drives to help stock pantry shelves.
  • Penny War: Students compete in homerooms to raise money for local charities.
  • Giving Tree: Each year students raise money from dances and penny wars in order to purchase gifts for those in need during the holidays.
  • Planning and Facilities: One member of Student Council sat on the Planning and Facilities committee. This member added valuable Middle School insight to the building planning process.

Next year we would like to expand our involvement to include:

  • Middle School spokesperson to attend School Board meetings
  • Service learning projects in the community
