Brief Overview:
Each “PE Activity” course provides a comprehensive
fitness component that teaches a variety of aerobic &
anaerobic conditioning activities designed to help
students improve personal fitness now and in the future.
In addition to the fitness component, both the Outdoor and
Indoor courses introduce students to a wide range of
activities, sports and games. Rules, skills, strategies, and
etiquette, as well as proper use and care of equipment are
taught and practiced.
A major focus in the Health and PE department is for
students to learn and enjoy the wide range of activity
available for healthy living. Because of this focus on
healthy living and wellness the Health & PE departments
strongly recommend students take a minimum of one PE
“activity” course in each of their four years of high school.
