Mission Statement
The Belleville School District recognizes the primary role of parents and guardians as the human growth and development educators of their children. The role of the school shall be to offer a consistent K-12 program of instruction in the area of human growth and development.
Parent Examination of Complete Curriculum
Belleville staff will notify parents in advance of any upcoming Human Growth and Development unit. Parents can preview the Human Growth & Development unit before their child learns about the lessons in school.
Procedure for Exempting Students
Parents have the choice to opt their child out of the Human Growth & Development Unit. To do so, please notify your student's teacher that you would like to opt them out of the lessons. The teacher will work to provide an alternative lesson for your child during this time.
