Assumptions for the above calculations
There are many variables involved in school finance. School leaders and financial consultants must develop a model that has several assumptions built into it. These actual amounts change over time due to decisions that are made (mostly at the state level). Below are some of the significant assumptions (all of the assumptions may be found in the "Model Assumptions" document):
- Estimated mill rate for 2025-26: $9.33; 2026-27: $9.14; 2027-28: $9.08.
- The estimated fair market property values will increase at a rate of 2% per year.
- Revenue limit increase will remain at $325 per student per year.
- Per Pupil Categorical aid will remain at $742 per student per year.
- Expenditures will increase each year based upon current knowledge past experience.
- Year 1 of the referendum will address safety and security of the district.
- Additional staffing to address growth and needs of the district will be hired as part of the referendum.
* All calculations are estimates and may change based on school funding sources and additional needs of the district. This page will be updated as new information is provided from the State.
