Wow! Did anyone see that beautiful sunrise this morning? But, we all know the old saying, "Red in the morning, sailors take warning. Red at night, sailors delight." Well, the sky was a beautiful rose this morning so get ready! Of course, I would prefer a red at night.
BELLEVILLE POOL - Looking for a summer job? Mr. Nico Berthelon is the new pool director and is looking for summer personnel. He is looking for lifeguards and swim instructors. You must be at least 15 years old to apply and you will need to pass the American Red Cross guard training course. The life guarding positions will be paid $11/hr and the swimming instructors will be paid $13/hr. with flexible work hours. POST PROM - The Post Prom Committee is still looking for more parents to assist them in making this Post Prom party a fun and safe place for our students to go. If interested, please check your email blast that was sent to you earlier this morning.

APRIL 27th - Our students who qualified for the WSMA State Music festival will be performing at the UW- Platteville campus.
MAY 1st - BLOOD DRIVE - The BHS Student Council in cooperation with the American Red Cross will be hosting their annual blood drive on Wednesday, May 1st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the High School gym.

MAY 3rd - Our MS students will involved in the Middle School Community Service Day. They will be having a different schedule on this day. Please be aware.
MAY 2nd and MAY 3rd - Our Belleville Plant and Soil Class will be holding their Annual BHS Plant Sale. The sale will be starting on Thursday, May from 3:30 - 5:30. The sale will then continue on Friday May 3rd also from 3:30 -5:30.
Thank you in advance for supporting our students. All proceeds go toward funding for future classes to help students continue this learning experience to years to come.
May 4th - Junior Prom. Our Juniors are planning this year's Prom. They have been planning, organizing and ordering to make this year's Prom the best that they can. Hope you have your calendars marked! The Prom will be held here in our HS gym starting at 8:00 and going until 11:00. The Grand March will be at 8:30 and the King and Queen will be crowned.
There will be bus transportation available to the bowling alley and transportation to your residence. There will be a sign up in the office for students who would like to take advantage of that. Thanks to the School District of Belleville and Mr. Long for this service.
Prom tickets are now available in the office for purchase. The cost is $5/person in advance and $10./at the door.
Post Prom will be held at Sugar River Lanes and will run from 11:00 p.m.- 3:00 a.m. Students must arrive no later than 12:00 a.m. to participate. There will be snacks and soda. All kinds of things to do: bowling, cards, yard games, board games, Bingo and more! There will be some great prizes, as well. Sounds like a fun-filled and safe party for you all.
A BIG thank you to the Junior Parents for planning this year's Post Prom party.
MAY 6th - Our 8th Grade students will be going to Bethel Horizons for their field trip which was canceled due to weather last fall.
MAY 8th - Our Annual Seniors Award evening will be held here starting at 6:00 p.m.
MAY 9th - Our MS Band and Choir Concert will be happening in the Auditorium starting at 7:00 p.m.
NOW IN SPORTS -
GIRLS SOCCER - Our Raiders went to McFarland for their game last night. I didn't hear any results so I don't know the final score.
Today - Our Varsity Raiders will be participating in the LaCrosse Varisty Invitational and will be leaving for LaCrosse later today.
Tomorrow- Our Varsity Raiders will be participating in the LaCrosse Varsity Invitational. The event will be held at the UW-LaCrosse Soccer Complex. Schools participating will be Aquinas, Cedarburg Central, DC Everest, DeForest, Eau Claire Memorial, Homestead, Onalaska, Prairie du Chien, the Prairie and Verona. Looks like a big slate! The event is to start at 8:00 a.m.
Tomorrow - Our JV Raiders will be participating in the invitational at the Middleton High School Soccer Complex on Airport Road West. Teams participating in this invitational should be: Divine Savior, McFarland, Middleton, Verona, Waunakee and our Sugar River Raiders. This event should be starting at 9:00 a.m.
Our JV and Varsity Raiders are holding a Toy Drive for the UW Children's Hospital this year along with the Move with Moose event on May 18th.
Our Raiders will be collecting new toys or donations during their home games for this event.
BASEBALL - Didn't hear, how our team did? I didn't think to ask some of the players when they were in the office this morning.
Tomorrow, our Wildcats will be playing at 2:30 p.m. against the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers on our Baseball field.
SOFTBALL - Our Lady Cats will be hosting the Dodgeville Dodgers this afternoon. The game will be starting at 5:00 p.m. Go Cats!
MS TRACK AND FIELD - It was so nice to see our MS athletes in action. I have only heard some good things about them. Last night it was so nice to see them in action for myself. Our team did very well and they were very good hosts. It is the first track meet of the year on our own track and that was great also.
HS TRACK AND FIELD - Our Raiders will be traveling to Monterey Stadium in Janesville for the Cougar Relays this afternoon/evening. The event is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.

BELLEVILLE YOUTH FOOTBALL - The Belleville Youth Football Board is looking to see if any student/students are interested in helping them with their program's website starting later this year. This would be a great way opportunity to earn some community service hours. If you are interested, please contact Brooke Butts, Belleville Youth Football President.
