Dear Families,
This letter is to inform you of the changes in the Belleville Summer School program for 2019. The first change is summer school will be offered at Belleville Elementary School instead of the High School. The second change is two sessions of classes will be offered. The dates are below.
Session 1: June 17 - July 3 (No Friday classes)
Session 2: July 22 - August 1 (No Friday classes)
This differs from previous summer programming in a number of ways.

There will be one week off between the last day of school and the first day of summer school. This provides a break for students and an opportunity for staff to have in-service time to prepare for their classes.

Two shorter sessions instead of one long session. Two different sessions will provide students the opportunity to take more classes than they would have previously. This also provides students an opportunity to access interventions and support to prevent summer learning loss.

No classes on Fridays. Historically attendance has been lower on Friday’s and this provides families the opportunity for vacation without missing summer school classes. We also hope that students will be able to attend all classes in the 4-day week.
We are looking forward to a change that will provide more opportunities for our students. The goal is to have Summer School Registration beginning on Monday, April 15 at 6:00 pm. Families will be able to go to the district homepage at www.belleville.k12.wi.us, find the FAMILIES tab and then Summer Opportunities/Summer School. This will allow you to view descriptions, course offerings and the overview. We will be sending step by step directions to register and pay through E-funds at a later time.
The Belleville Elementary School library will be available from 6:00 - 7:30 pm on Monday, April 15 for families who do not have internet access or need assistance registering.
