District Initiatives

We have numerous opportunities ensuring every student will have a posistive educational experience through our three district-wide initiatives; Partnerships in Comprehensive Literacy (PCL), Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and One to One Technology.  Click here for more information!

Partnerships in Comprehensive Literacy

Intentional teaching is based on what the student already knows, what the student needs to know and what the student is capable of learning with assistance.  Teaching needs to change as learning changes.  When this is done well, the teacher constantly keeps students learning at the cutting edge.  Teaching at the upper edge of students’ learning promotes a growth mindset with opportunities to solve challenging problems with help from others. Project Lead The Way

Project Lead The Way provides a comprehensive approach to STEM Education. Through activity-, project-, and problem-based curriculum, PLTW gives students in kindergarten through high school a chance to apply what they know, identify problems, find unique solutions, and lead their own learning. This document will outline each grade levels learning goals in our district. Click here to find out more on the Project Lead The Way website.

One To One Technology

Our district offers 1:1 technology, in which we offer one device for each student in the entire district.  4K-1st graders have access to an iPad or Chromebook, 2nd-8th graders are assigned a Chromebook that is used during school, and 9th-12th graders are assigned a Chromebook that may be taken home during the school year.  Please take a moment to review the technology handbook. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of the school offices.
