The 4K-12 Library Media Centers of the School District of Belleville operate to ensure that students and staff are effective and ethical users of information and technology. The centers serve to develop, strengthen, and promote a life-long love of learning and reading for success in the 21st century. We provide an inviting environment to accommodate collaborative and individual study, where everyone can learn, teach, produce, and contribute.
To accomplish this, staff will collaborate and provide leadership to:
- Create engaging learning experiences
- Promote the use of the Media Centers to achieve the district’s educational initiatives
- Instruct and assist students and staff with a multitude of print and digital resources
- Provide dynamic collections of materials representing a diversity of views
